Amazon App Rejects Phone Number, Preventing Users From Requesting Subscription Refund
My Amazon Prime Video subscription was renewed on August 5 without my knowledge or consent, charging $1.50 to my card. Upon noticing the renewal, I tried to submit a refund request through the app, but the system rejected my phone number, leaving me completely unable to reach a customer service representative.
Subsequently, I canceled my subscription entirely through Amazon. Following the cancellation, the system indicated that I could continue using the membership until a specific date; however, I currently have no active membership showing on Prime Video and cannot watch videos. Despite this, the $1.50 deducted from my card has still not been refunded, leaving me without service even though I paid for it.
I demand an immediate refund of this unauthorized renewal fee to my card and a clear, understandable explanation regarding my membership and payment status. Furthermore, I request that necessary checks be conducted on my account to ensure a similar situation does not happen again.
