Preply Tutor Account Blocked For Suspicious Activity And Balance Frozen

I am a tutor on Preply and my account was blocked on 22 August 2026. I discovered the block only when I logged in and saw that my profile was suspended for “suspicious activity” linked to a student who had booked several lessons and then repeatedly cancelled them. Preply has already informed me that this is the reason for the block. However, these bookings and cancellations were made while I was not connected, and I was never involved in any fraudulent or inappropriate activity. Because of this decision, I currently have 456.54 USD on my tutor balance that I can no longer withdraw. My total earnings since I started working on Preply are around 2,756 USD, which shows how important this platform and these amounts are for me and how serious the financial impact of this situation is. After discovering the block, I contacted customer service to ask for a review of my case. Despite my explanations, customer service was categorical, maintained the decision and refused to reconsider the situation. I then contacted Preply’s legal department, but I never received any response, which I find very disrespectful towards a tutor who has worked on the platform and generated income there. I also submitted a formal appeal against the restriction, but support confirmed the restriction and rejected my appeal, which I strongly contest because the underlying facts have not been properly examined. I find it unacceptable that my account is blocked solely because of the behaviour of a student who repeatedly cancelled lessons, without any concrete proof that I personally did something wrong and without giving me a real opportunity to defend myself. This situation deprives me of access to money that I have honestly earned by giving lessons and seriously harms my trust in the platform. I firmly request a serious and urgent re‑examination of my case by a competent person who will actually look at the facts and my explanations, instead of simply repeating the previous decision. I also demand that my account be unblocked so that I can withdraw the 456.54 USD currently blocked and, if possible, continue giving lessons on Preply. Finally, I expect a clear and detailed written explanation of the reasons for this decision and of the measures that Preply intends to take to correct this unfair situation.
