If PIA VPN connects but you have no internet access and want to restore browsing;

Check if Kill Switch is blocking traffic;

• Open PIA → Settings
• Disable “Kill Switch” temporarily
• Disconnect and reconnect
• Test browsing

Switch VPN protocol;

• Settings → Protocol
• Try:
– WireGuard
– OpenVPN UDP
– OpenVPN TCP
• Reconnect after each change

Change DNS settings;

• In PIA → Enable “Use PIA DNS”
• Or manually set DNS to:
– 1.1.1.1
– 8.8.8.8
• Restart browser

Change server location;

• Select a different country
• Try a nearby server first
• Avoid streaming-optimized servers for testing

Flush network settings (Windows);

• Open Command Prompt (Admin)
• Run:
– ipconfig /flushdns
– netsh winsock reset
• Restart PC

Check firewall/antivirus;

• Temporarily disable
• Add PIA as exception

Restart router;

• Power off 2–3 minutes
• Reconnect VPN after reboot

If issue continues;

• Reinstall PIA
• Test on another device
• Contact PIA support with OS, protocol, and server details

If support does not reply, you might want to consider posting a complaint on Xolvie in order to bring attention to the issue and try to find a solution.
