Philips PerfectCare PSG9050/20 Iron Replacement Request




On June 15, 2023, I paid 12,900.00 TL to Teknosa for the Philips PerfectCare PSG9050/20 steam iron. From the first use, it was clear that the product did not live up to its advertised features. It not only failed to perform its functions, but it also damaged the items I attempted to iron. My conversations with authorized service and Teknosa yielded assurances that the product would improve with additional usage. When I took it to the authorized service center, they told me that the product couldn't be replaced and that the problem had been resolved. This is despite the iron's failure to recognize fabric types, as promised. During my online research on the product and the Philips brand, I came across numerous complaints on sikayetvar.com, many of which mirrored my own experience. The same model appeared to cause problems repeatedly and was sent in for service every 2-3 months. As a result, I believe I received a defective product directly from the manufacturer, causing both financial and emotional distress. Given the iron's problems from the first use, the suspicion of tampering with a new product, and my substantial payment based on trust in the Philips brand, I am now requesting a replacement. Otherwise, I will be forced to file a complaint with the Buca District Consumer Arbitration Board.
