May 9, 2023. I had purchased a 400 Series EP5447/90 Fully Automatic Coffee Machine for a total amount of 13,107.48 Turkish Lira, including taxes. Unfortunately, I have encountered a problem with the product. Shortly after using the coffee machine, I noticed that two black parts had fallen out from within the machine. Despite this issue, the machine did not display any errors, so I continued to use it. On August 11, 2023, approximately three months after the purchase, I came across a notice indicating that the machine needed to be taken in for service. In response, I took the machine to the authorized service center, Volkan Elektronik, on August 12, 2023. Upon inspection at the service center, I was informed verbally that two internal parts within the machine were broken due to being dropped. However, I would like to emphasize that I am the sole user of the machine, and there has been no occurrence of dropping or mishandling. Despite my assurance of not causing any damage, I was told that these broken parts could be replaced at a cost. The estimated cost of replacing these parts is approximately 3,300 Turkish Lira, a substantial amount that I find unreasonable considering the machine was purchased only three months ago. Given the recent purchase and the fact that the damage appears to have occurred through no fault of mine, I am unable to bear the cost of the replacement parts. I kindly request that the broken parts be replaced with new ones, at no additional charge to me. I also request that, if replacement is not possible, a written report detailing the reasons for non-replacement be provided to me. The attached images clearly show the state of the broken parts, further supporting my claim. I want to highlight that I am aware of my legal rights as a consumer, and I believe it is only fair to have this matter resolved in a reasonable manner. I kindly ask for your immediate attention to this matter, and I expect that appropriate actions will be taken to address this issue promptly.
