Philips Marathon Ultimate XB9155/05 Vacuum Guarantee Scam
I bought a Philips Marathon Ultimate XB9155/05 bagless vacuum cleaner on March 18, 2020. I was told during the purchase that if I signed up for the "Register and Win" campaign, the device would be covered by a 5-year warranty, including all spare parts. When I reviewed the form, I realized that "All parts of the purchased product, including accessories and mechanical components, are covered during the all-inclusive 5-year warranty campaign. If the device's attachments or mechanical parts fail due to wear and tear, they will be replaced as part of the all-inclusive 5-year warranty campaign." I bought the product in the hope that the promise would be kept and signed up for the campaign. However, when the vacuum's remote control broke the service center informed me that the repair was not covered by the warranty. Customer service also confirmed that the 5-year warranty only covered the motor and that all other repairs were invalid. Despite my protests, I was disconnected without explanation. I don't understand why the company would make promises to customers that they couldn't keep. I demand a refund or replacement.
