The multimedia screen of my 2022 Peugeot 3008 Active Prime 1.5 BlueHDi suddenly went black about a month ago and then turned back on by itself after a while. However, after this incident, I started experiencing problems with Apple CarPlay and the wireless charging feature. Because of these screen and connectivity issues, I contacted the Arkas and Novamer authorized Peugeot service centers in İzmir by phone. Both service centers stated that they would charge a diagnostic fee only—approximately $300 at Novamer and $233 plus VAT at Arkas—just to identify the fault. Their justification was that my vehicle is no longer under warranty. They also clearly stated that any repair costs identified after the diagnosis would be added on top of these amounts. I find it completely unreasonable to demand such high diagnostic fees when there is not even a confirmed diagnosis yet, especially when these fees are charged separately from any repair cost. I am filing a complaint about this practice by Peugeot’s authorized service centers. Charging a standalone diagnostic fee at such a high level feels like punishing customers simply because the warranty period has expired. I do not accept that these amounts are demanded without even considering the possibility that the fault may be factory-related and before the exact cause of the issue has been determined. I request that Peugeot inspect the screen, CarPlay, and wireless charging issues in my vehicle without charging any diagnostic fee, and that this unfair diagnostic fee policy be reviewed and reconsidered.
