Peugeot 5008 Repeated Faults and Delayed Warranty Repairs
I purchased a 2024 model Peugeot 5008 1.2 Hybrid on 9 March 2026. Only 20 days after purchasing the vehicle, a transmission fault occurred and I had to take the car to the authorized service of Demir Otomotiv in Samsun. I requested the repair to be carried out under warranty, but my request was initially rejected on the grounds of delayed maintenance. After I contacted Peugeot’s head office, approval for the repair was given approximately 10 days later. I then had to wait nearly two months for the repair to be completed because the necessary part was said to be coming from abroad. After finally receiving my vehicle, different faults continued to appear at various times. On 20 October 2026, the car developed an electronic fault and I once again delivered it to the same authorized service. Even though the vehicle is still under warranty, I was told that they needed to wait for another warranty approval from the system. Each time a fault occurs, I am forced to wait more than a week just for approval, and I constantly face excuses instead of a clear and fast solution. This situation causes serious loss of time and disruption in my daily life. Although I was informed that the required part had arrived on the last visit, I have been without a car for about a week because the service claims they do not have a replacement vehicle available. Despite calling many times during the day, it is very difficult to reach anyone, and even when I do reach someone, my grievance is still not resolved. I was told that I should find a rental car myself and that they would cover only ₺2,000 per day for a DS-segment vehicle. I clearly stated that it is not possible to find a suitable vehicle for this amount under current conditions and that it is Peugeot’s responsibility to provide an appropriate replacement vehicle while my car is under warranty repair. However, there has been no effective response or solution. It is unacceptable that a customer is left without a vehicle and subjected to such lengthy and recurring processes while a car under warranty is being repaired, and that communication with both the authorized service and the brand remains so weak. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed by this experience. I request that my vehicle with plate number 06 FBC 6** be repaired completely and reliably under warranty without any further delay, that a suitable replacement vehicle be provided for the entire period my car remains in the service, and that the loss of time and victimization I have experienced be taken into account and resolved in a way that will compensate me appropriately.
