I purchased airline tickets from Pegasus Airlines on February 9 for travel from Adana to Istanbul and then Istanbul to Barcelona, with return flights on February 12 from Barcelona to Sabiha Gökçen and Sabiha Gökçen to Çukurova. The total cost of the tickets was approximately 19,000 TL (about $660 USD). However, due to a situation completely outside of my control and officially documented, I was unable to take this trip.
On February 2, a legal order was issued against me mandating judicial supervision and an international travel ban. I have all official documents related to this decision. Because of this, I requested that my tickets be cancelled or, at the very least, converted to open tickets (flexible dates). I submitted the issue through Pegasus customer service and also posted about the urgency of the situation on my X (Twitter) account seeking support. Despite this, I was only informed that cancellation and change procedures must be done through online channels, and that my request was unfavorably evaluated with no action possible.
Not offering a solution for a completely out-of-my-control situation, supported by official documentation like a legal travel ban and judicial supervision order, not only increases my hardship but also conflicts with customer service expectations. I ask that Pegasus Airlines consider the official legal documents I have submitted and either cancel my tickets without penalty or convert them into open tickets at the same fare, and that a solution be provided to fully address and resolve my hardship.
