Pegasus Kiosk Tricked Me Into Buying Extras and Made My Ticket Invalid

I had one of the most frustrating and humiliating travel experiences of my life thanks to Pegasus Airlines’ manipulative kiosk system at the airport. The self-check-in kiosks are clearly designed to pressure passengers into purchasing extra services. If you try to skip the upsell screen and proceed without adding any extras, the system flags your transaction as incomplete. The result? Your ticket becomes invalid.

Even though I was fully prepared and arrived at the airport on time, this shady system caused me major distress. The kiosk instructed me to go to a counter, but there was no separate domestic desk—only one chaotic counter line for both domestic and international travelers, stretching 90 to 100 people long. By the time I got to the front and asked to complete my check-in—still 40 minutes before departure—I was met with total indifference. The staff rudely told me I had to buy a new ticket.

A staff member at the ticket desk admitted it was a system issue caused by Pegasus and acknowledged I had been wronged. But the only “solution” they offered, after I begged and pleaded, was to rebook me on a flight nearly 10 hours later, in the early hours of the next morning. I had to drag my heavy luggage around the airport for hours, exhausted and furious.

Trying to reach customer service is another dead end—no support, no resolution, just automated responses and total apathy. I felt completely abandoned.

I swear, this is one of the biggest regrets of my life. I will never use Pegasus again unless I’m absolutely forced to. Their neglect and lack of accountability are unacceptable. I will also make sure to warn everyone I know.
