Pdfsmart enrolled me in a subscription I didnt knowingly authorize, complaint the $72.90 charge

July 15 3:53 PM

I used the Pdfsmart website for a simple PDF size reduction and paid what was presented as a one‑time fee of $1 on July 3. At no point do I remember clearly agreeing to an expensive recurring subscription. About a week later, I realized that I had been charged a subscription fee instead, for an amount far above the initial payment. I later saw the charge of 72.90 USD dated July 3, which appears to be a monthly subscription that I did not knowingly sign up for and that was never clearly communicated to me on the payment screen. I consider this practice misleading and feel I have been charged for a service and subscription that I did not intend to purchase. I request that the entire subscription amount that was taken without my explicit and informed consent be fully refunded and that any active subscription linked to my account or card be cancelled immediately so that no further charges are made. I expect Pdfsmart to review this situation, stop using such confusing payment flows for one‑time users, and confirm the refund and cancellation in writing as soon as possible.
