PDF Smart Charged 49.99 After One-Time Use Without Clear Subscription Consent
I am writing to complain about an unauthorised and misleading charge taken by PDF Smart in connection with their document conversion service. I used PDF Smart for a one‑off document conversion and, as part of that, I entered my card details and started what was presented as a free or low‑cost use of the service. At no point was it made clear to me in a clear and transparent way that I would be charged a recurring or high subscription fee. On 20 August, a payment of 49.99 was taken from my account by Wwpdfsmrt, which I only noticed when checking my bank statement. I did not knowingly consent to this 49.99 charge, and I consider it a hidden and deceptive securing or subscription fee. I contacted PDF Smart customer service to dispute the payment and request my money back, but they refused to issue a refund. I find this unacceptable and feel I have been misled and charged for something I did not clearly agree to. I request an immediate full refund of the 49.99 taken on 20 August, the cancellation of any subscription or recurring payment linked to my details, and a written apology acknowledging that the charges were not clearly disclosed.
