PDF Guru Discriminatory Refund Policy

On April 10, 2026, I used pdfguru.com to purchase what was clearly presented as a one-time document conversion service for $0.99. However, instead of being charged the advertised $0.99, I was charged $49.99, which I consider a misleading and unfair practice. The payment appears under Receipt No. 1ce802b8-ef71-4bc9-8f42-8f4b63b54836, dated 2026-04-17 19:42:32, for the email address keti.tsotniashv****@iliauni.edu.ge. Immediately after noticing the incorrect charge, I contacted PDF Guru support and requested a refund, since I never intended to authorize a $49.99 purchase and only subscribed for a one-time conversion. Their response was that the payment is non-refundable and that refunds are available only to EU citizens. I find this practice discriminatory and feel that I was misled about both the price and the refund policy. I request a full refund of the $49.99 that was charged to my account, as I only agreed to pay $0.99 for a one-time service. I also expect a clear explanation of how this higher amount was charged and why refund rights are being restricted based on region, which appears unfair and unacceptable.
