The Papa John’s branch operator not only sent the wrong order but also insulted me and refused to issue a refund. I intend to file a formal complaint against this person — I even have a voice recording of the incident. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and damages the Papa John’s brand image.
When placing my order, I specifically mentioned that one ingredient should be excluded due to an allergy. I always note this when ordering and have never had issues before. Despite writing the note clearly, the pizza arrived with tomatoes, which I’m allergic to. Since it didn’t look like it contained tomatoes, I ate it — and ended up in the hospital.
When I called the branch to report what happened, the manager cursed at me and hung up the phone, even though I explained that I had been hospitalized because of their mistake. I find it appalling that someone this aggressive and disrespectful is allowed to represent a major brand like Papa John’s.
I also called the Papa John’s complaint line, but they were completely unresponsive and didn’t follow up on my report. I condemn this behavior and will be taking legal action against both the individual and the company for negligence and verbal abuse.
