Amazon Refuses Return on Unopened Outsunny Garden Shed After Family Emergency

I ordered an Outsunny wooden garden shed from Amazon on 29 March as a Father’s Day gift for my dad. The product is the Outsunny 127.5L x 50W x 164H cm natural wooden tool storage garden shed with two windows. Unfortunately, since placing the order my dad has become very ill and is now in hospital, and he is no longer able to use the shed. Because of this unexpected situation, the box has never been opened and my dad has not even seen the item. I tried to contact Amazon by phone but I kept getting cut off, and I struggle if I cannot message or speak properly with a person, so I have not been able to arrange a return. Given these circumstances, I kindly request that Amazon arranges collection of the unopened shed from me and issues a full refund. I would like to use this money to buy other things my dad now needs while he is in hospital, as this is a very stressful time for us. I would be very grateful if you could help me with a one‑off exception and process this return and refund as soon as possible.
