Opel Returned My 2023 Astra With a Broken Sunroof Curtain
I purchased a 2023 Opel Astra 1.2 130 HP AT8 GS and encountered a malfunction with the sunroof curtain after just 40 km of use. While closing it, the curtain jammed and the rear seal came off. I only used the factory button to operate it. Since the car was under warranty, I delivered it to the authorized service center Opel Nazer in Gebze on July 19, 2025. Later, they sent me a video stating that the issue was due to user error and not covered under warranty, demanding ₺32,000 for repairs. However, the condition of the vehicle in the video did not match how they returned it to me—the curtain was partially disassembled and nonfunctional. Despite opening a case through Opel Turkey and multiple follow-ups, I was told the damage wasn’t covered and that the broken part was due to the curtain’s delicate design. Even after requesting at least the condition shown in the video, the curtain was returned in worse shape, immobile, and improperly installed. Opel Turkey and the authorized service failed to resolve the issue, and I deeply regret buying this vehicle.
