Omio Refused to Refund My Train Ticket to My Credit Card

I purchased a Cologne–Berlin train ticket through Omio for travel on July 8, 2026, with XCover protection included. The total amount I paid, including the protection fee, was €31.88.

Although I paid in euros, when I attempted to cancel my ticket, I discovered that my refund was being processed in U.S. dollars and offered only as a voucher instead of a refund to my original payment method. Furthermore, the voucher offered to me was worth only $14.70, which is significantly less than the €31.88 I originally paid.

I noticed this issue on June 27 and immediately attempted to contact Omio and XCover Customer Support. Despite my efforts, I have not received any meaningful response or assistance. Changing the refund currency without my consent and replacing a cash refund with a substantially lower-value voucher has caused me financial loss and significant inconvenience.

I respectfully request that the full €31.88 I originally paid be refunded in euros, using the same payment method I used for the purchase. I do not accept a voucher or a refund issued in a different currency, and I ask that this matter be resolved promptly with a written explanation regarding the handling of my refund.
