Omio Prague–Nuremberg Bus Never Showed Up: No Info, No Support, Hours Stranded

June 1, 2025 4:04 PM45

We purchased a ticket from Omio for a trip between Prague and Nuremberg. We arrived at the station at 9:00 for the 10:30 bus. The ticket did not include a station number or a bus number. We asked the travel information desk about the bus, but they said they had no information about such a bus and that they couldn’t help us. We asked everywhere we possibly could, but no one had any information about the bus we had booked. The staff at the station were also not helpful at all.

Thirty minutes passed after the scheduled arrival time, and the bus still didn’t show up. We called the company, and even though we were first in the queue, we were kept waiting for 10–15 minutes. Then they told us the bus would come and hung up. Another hour passed. We called again, and this time they said the bus would be delayed by three hours, meaning it was supposed to arrive around 13:30. In our last call—20 minutes after that—we asked again because the app still showed “on time” and the scheduled time was still listed as 10:30. When we asked for details, they didn't tell us where we should wait; they only said the bus would be red and would arrive at 14:30.

It is now 14:50, and there is still no sign of the bus.

Because of this entire situation—being in a foreign country, having nowhere to stay—we ended up paying over 4,000 TL for a ticket that originally cost 400 TL, just to be able to travel. We have been waiting at the station since 9:00 in the morning, and despite paying, we have been completely mistreated. We will never purchase a bus ticket again. We’ve been waiting for 5–6 hours, no one is helping us, and the bus is still nowhere to be found.
