Nike Pegasus Trail 3 GTX Shoes Developed a Hole Allowing Water In

On 09.05.2024, I purchased a pair of Nike Pegasus Trail 3 GTX shoes from the Nike store in Antalya, specifically for their Gore-Tex, waterproof capabilities. I chose this model for its water resistance, but after some use, a hole appeared on the upper part of the shoe, allowing water to seep through. On 12.10.2024, I returned the shoes to the store for inspection under warranty. I was assured that I would receive the inspection results within 15 days via phone. However, by 31.10.2024, I had not received any update and had to visit the store to inquire. There, I was informed that the inspection had concluded with a rejection. I strongly believe this hole was not caused by user error; rather, the plastic section near the laces appears to have consistently rubbed against the fabric, eventually creating the hole. This points to a manufacturing defect. Additionally, since I was not informed of the rejection decision, I had to spend extra time and money visiting the store myself. I am reaching out to Nike one last time before filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and request that this issue be resolved appropriately. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will proceed with the Committee complaint and may reconsider my long-held trust in the brand. Thank you.
