Nike Defy All Day Shoes Makes Disturbing Noise

I've had a problem with my Nike Defy All Day sports shoes since the day I bought them from Sportive's store. They make noise when I walk. I never had the chance to take them back to the store until recently. When I visited the store, I was told that since six months had passed, they couldn’t even examine the product for defects and that there was nothing they could do. They didn't even bother to look at us. It's typical of some stores to show a lot of interest when selling but then distance themselves when issues arise.

Afterwards, when I called Nike, they said they couldn't do anything either. They mentioned that the store manager could choose to examine the product at their discretion (based on whether the manager feels like it or not). When I asked if there are any rules or guidelines for this discretion, the response quickly turned defensive and unhelpful. If this were in the European Union or the USA, I imagine we would have faced the same attitude.
