Mytrip Asked Nearly Triple The Ticket Price For Date Change

Through Mytrip, I purchased flexible round-trip airline tickets for two people on the Istanbul Airport–Bangkok route, with departure on April 29 and return on May 5.
I specifically chose flexible tickets because I wanted the ability to change my travel dates later by simply paying any applicable fare difference. For this reason, I paid approximately $520 per person for the tickets.
For several days now, I have been trying to change the travel dates. However, Mytrip keeps claiming that they cannot provide tickets in the same booking class and is demanding an extremely excessive additional payment of approximately $1,040 per person for the round-trip change.
In other words, the total change fee requested for two people reaches nearly $2,080.
What makes this situation even more unreasonable is that when I search for the exact same flights directly through Mytrip as a completely new reservation, economy-class seats still appear available and the total price is only around $780.
This means that canceling my existing tickets and purchasing brand-new ones would actually be far cheaper than the “flexible ticket” date-change fee being demanded from me.
My reservation number is 1104-060-212.
During this process, I spoke with Mytrip customer service representatives many times. Even though the system allegedly showed no availability, they repeatedly asked me to provide alternative dates. I researched and submitted suitable dates every time, yet they consistently claimed that no seats remained in that class.
Despite this, when I personally searched the same dates through Mytrip, I could clearly see that tickets were still available for purchase.
I believe this is a contradictory and unfair practice that seriously disadvantages consumers.
Because of these experiences, I feel misled and unfairly treated. Selling a product under the promise of “flexible tickets” and then demanding nearly three times the original price during the date-change process is completely unacceptable.
For this reason, I request a full refund of my ticket payment if possible.
If a refund is not possible, then I demand that the date change be processed as originally promised at the time of purchase — within the same class, on reasonable dates, and with a realistic and fair fare difference.
I absolutely do not accept a change fee of approximately $1,040 per person.
