On November 30, 2025, a charge of $8 was taken from my account connected to my Facebook profile without my knowledge or permission. When I checked Meta Pay, I do not see any pending or approved ads, so I cannot tell what this charge is for either.
In the past, I saved my Enpara debit card details in my Facebook account so I could run ads. The last time I ran an ad was on September 18, 2024, and I have not run any ads or promotions through Meta/Facebook for about a year. During that time, there were no charges. Today, I suddenly received a notification from my bank that this amount was charged, and I also see the transaction in my account activity. I have screenshots related to the transaction.
I reported the issue through Facebook’s support section and submitted a complaint through the AI-assisted support flow. I was told I would receive an email response within 2–4 days. However, I can no longer access the Outlook email address linked to my Facebook account—I don’t remember the password, and because it’s tied to an old phone number, I can’t recover the account. For that reason, it is currently not possible to reach me by email.
I am requesting that this unauthorized transaction be investigated in detail, that the source of this suspicious charge on my account be identified, and that the $8 taken unfairly be refunded to me.
