Google Meitu Subscription Charged My Card Without Proper Consent

On December 29, 2025, I downloaded the Meitu app through Google Play and started using it under a plan that included a 3-day free trial. Inside the app, there was a statement indicating that the subscription would become paid after the 3-day trial period ended. However, as the trial expiration approached, I did not receive any reminder notification, clear approval screen, warning, email, SMS, or in-app confirmation request regarding the automatic conversion to a paid subscription.
Despite this, on December 29, 2025, at 10:31 PM, I noticed in my Garanti Bank account activity that approximately $9 had been charged under the description “Google Meitu” as a monthly subscription fee. I do not specifically remember approving the transition to a paid package, and I was not provided with a clear notification through email, SMS, or the app itself. Since the application language was in English, I was unable to fully understand all the subscription details, and I could not communicate properly with either Meitu or Google Play support teams.
For this reason, I do not approve of this charge and believe it was an unfair billing practice. I request the cancellation of this transaction and a full refund of the approximately $9 charged to my card. Otherwise, I will exercise all of my legal rights, including filing complaints with the Consumer Arbitration Committee and pursuing all other available legal remedies.
