In January 2023, I purchased an Apple Watch 7 at the Mall of Antalya MediaMarkt, and the seller strongly advised me to purchase screen glass insurance. We both agreed. A small crack appeared on the screen about 7 months later, but the watch continued to function normally. We used our insurance to replace the glass, which was handled by a company called Altar Group. They declared the watch a total loss, which was shocking. The watch was in perfect condition, and it's shocking to learn that they're asking only 5,700 TL for a watch that's currently worth nearly 20,000 TL in the market. They aren't even offering a new product. This is pure deception. They're declaring a perfectly working watch a total loss and offering an absurdly low price for it. I'm going to the consumer arbitration board about this. I'm writing to warn others not to fall for the insurance companies used by MediaMarkt and their partners. Don't let your money go to waste.
