Massimo Dutti Linen Shirts Lost Color and Pants Ripped After Gentle Hand Wash
We purchased eight items from the Massimo Dutti store at Cevahir Mall. During our vacation abroad, we hand-washed them at the hotel using hand-wash detergent. However, the linen shirts completely lost their color — the collars and sleeve edges turned almost white. One of the pants ripped at the inner seam, and both pairs showed severe fabric wear and color bleeding. We spent ₺28,000 on these products, expecting to wear them for at least a year, but within just 20 days they became completely unusable.
We left the items at the store for inspection. Even before checking them, one of the staff members immediately said, “These items aren’t supposed to be washed.” I then showed them the care label inside the garments, which clearly stated they could be machine washed at 30°C. In fact, I had only washed them by hand in lukewarm water using gentle detergent.
I urgently request a solution to this issue today, as we are returning to Diyarbakır in two days.
