I Used L'Oréal Paris Excellence 5 Brown Hair Dye and It Turned My Hair Green

Hello L'Oréal,

I purchased several boxes of L'Oréal Paris Excellence Hair Dye in shade 5 Brown, expecting the usual rich color I’ve trusted for years. Instead, I ended up with a shocking result—my hair turned green. When I opened the tube and mixed the dye, I noticed the color shifting to a strange green. I didn’t think much of it at first, so I applied it anyway. But as it sat on my hair, the green intensified. After rinsing, my hair wasn’t brown—it was a murky brown-green.

I ordered 3 boxes in one online order from Watsons. I tried a second box, hoping the first was defective. Same result. I tried the third—still green. All the faulty packages had Russian writing on them and no expiration date printed, which raises serious concerns. I reordered thinking maybe I got a bad batch, but once again received the same suspicious packaging—and once again, my hair turned green.

I'm not the only one—some of my friends experienced the exact same issue. This is completely unacceptable. I paid over ₺ for these products and now my hair is ruined.

L'Oréal must investigate this immediately and offer a replacement with safe, verified products—or a full refund. Customers should never have to worry about mystery formulations or untraceable batches damaging their hair.
