LiveCareer Started a Subscription Without My Consent
I entered my card information and made a payment to use LiveCareer’s CV builder service on a one-time basis. However, after this transaction, I discovered that my card information had been retained in the system and that a subscription had been started without my knowledge or consent. When I checked my credit card statement today, I noticed a $20 charge under the description “Livecareer.com.tr Strassen.” I did not authorize this transaction and it was not made by me.
After noticing this unauthorized charge, I contacted LiveCareer by email. However, in the response I received, I was asked to provide additional card information, such as the last digits of my card, in order to resolve the issue. I did not consider this request trustworthy, so I did not provide any additional card information. I have also not received any refund so far.
I request that LiveCareer immediately cancel any and all subscriptions that may have been started without my authorization and issue a full refund of the $20 charged to my card. I also request that all of my card information be completely removed from LiveCareer’s systems and that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that no further transactions are made to my card without my knowledge or consent.
Based on this experience, I want to specifically state that I consider LiveCareer to be an extremely untrustworthy website that has caused me significant inconvenience and financial harm. I expect this matter to be resolved as soon as possible and appropriate measures to be taken to prevent similar issues from happening again.
