LinkedIn Security Verification Won't Let Me Reset My Password

June 11 7:38 AM

Since yesterday, I have been unable to sign in to my LinkedIn account through either a web browser or the mobile app. Because I forgot my password, I selected the "Forgot Password" option. Instead of allowing me to reset it, LinkedIn repeatedly sends me to a "Let's do a quick security check" screen.

The system then presents what feels like more than one hundred image verification challenges in a row, asking me to identify objects in each image. Even after completing every challenge correctly, my password is still not accepted, and I remain locked out of my account.

Despite successfully completing the security verification multiple times, I have been unable to recover my account or reset my password. Having to repeat such an excessively long verification process over and over without any result has turned the account recovery process into an extremely frustrating user experience.

I request that LinkedIn restore my access to my account as soon as possible and investigate why the security verification process repeatedly fails to complete the password reset. I also ask LinkedIn to simplify or improve this excessively long verification process so that users can recover their accounts without unnecessary delays.
