Lenovo Yoga 7 Notebook Overheating Complaint

May 10, 2024 2:23 PM32

On April 7, 2024, I bought a Lenovo Yoga 7 notebook with order number 36116611 from the Media Markt website. The next day, I received the items from the Marmara Forum store. Due to warping in the lower cover of the computer casing caused by overheating, I requested a product exchange within the allowed time frame. I was given a code by the website and customer support to begin the swap process. However, the process at the store was completely different. They claimed that the code was invalid and that transactions could not be conducted using it, insisting that the product be sent to the service center. The product was sent to the service center, where I was told that the exchange request would be denied and that the equipment would be repaired and returned to me. When I received the product, there was no repair form or documentation stating the work conducted. Despite constantly communicating my exchange request to both Media Markt and Lenovo, their customer support staff kept passing the buck back and forth. Media Markt argued that Lenovo needed to approve the exchange, but Lenovo insisted that Media Markt was responsible for it. Despite multiple emails outlining the matter, neither business attempted to reach me by telephone. Why am I being forced to use a product that I purchased new in a repaired state, and why have I been inconvenienced for nearly a month without being able to use the computer from the day I purchased it? How can I be sure that the same problem will not occur again? Even when the notebook lid is closed, the faulty product does not correctly align within the shell. I've used four Lenovo PCs before and never had this problem. I've never applied for a service request in my life. If the product has a problem, you must exchange it; however, I am unsure what part replacement includes. Congratulations on going above and above to inconvenience me; neither of your customer service options could be worse. You don't even care about communicating with others.
