Lenovo Legion 5 Cosmetic Fail - Discoloring Palm Rest

Our company computer, a Lenovo Legion 5 - 16IRX9 brand-model device, was purchased from Vatan Computer at the end of December 2024. Due to the demands of the architecture sector, requiring a sleek, powerful, and mobile device for client presentations and the programs we use, we chose this model. Despite having no technical or hardware defects, it has begun to show cosmetic problems. Before the 3rd month was complete, the left palm rest started showing visible darkening and discoloration from fingerprints, and by the 8th month, the coating on the back of the left screen hinge began to peel. The entire situation is demonstrated in the relevant video. When we contacted technical support on 08.10.2025, we were told that this was a result of user error, could be fixed for a fee, and was not covered under warranty. When the Lenovo brand blames the user for the fingerprints appearing, are they expecting us to use the device without touching it? Isn't this a flaw in design material selection? When they blame the user for the back coating peeling/separating, do they think we intentionally picked at the coating, which is embedded in the frame on the back? Isn't this a manufacturing defect? Since the aesthetics are as important as the power, the issues that have arisen are a significant problem for us. Our previous laptops from different brands lasted around 7 years without hand darkening or coating issues, and we only replaced them when they became insufficient. In short; The rapid deterioration of the cosmetics worries us about what other issues it might bring in the future. As customers, it is alarming that a company that presents itself as a Premium brand does not take ownership of these kinds of defects on a seriously expensive device. Therefore, we expect our grievances to be addressed.
