I purchased a Lava cast iron pot about 3 months ago, trusting the brand’s reputation and paying a premium price for what I believed would be a high-quality product. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations at all. Despite only using the pot twice—and following every usage guideline carefully—it already shows clear signs of damage.
There are visible discolorations inside the pot, and even worse, the cast iron surface appears to be breaking down. This is unacceptable from a product that is supposed to last for years with proper care. I seasoned it correctly with oil before the first use, never started cooking before the oil was heated, and always cleaned and dried it thoroughly after use.
I did everything right, and still, the pot looks like it’s been used for years, not twice. I feel completely let down by the Lava brand.
