Lacoste Shoes Fell Apart Quickly—Brand Refuses to Take Responsibility

I bought a pair of Lacoste shoes, trusting the brand’s reputation for quality, but I deeply regret it. After noticing defects, I sent them for inspection twice, only to be told it was a "user error." I’m 52 years old, I don’t play football or engage in intense sports, and I didn’t even wash them in a machine—yet the inner stitching completely came apart after minimal use.
When I asked for a clear explanation of how this could be a user error, I received nothing but generic responses. To make matters worse, I bought the same pair as a gift for a friend, and now I don’t even want to ask if theirs is falling apart too.
