About three months ago, I purchased the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Cleansing Gel upon my pharmacist’s recommendation, who said it was suitable for my skin type. I used the product exactly as instructed — applying it every night before bed by lathering it with wet hands to cleanse my face, followed by moisturizer.
However, from the very first day of use, instead of seeing a reduction in acne, I noticed a significant increase in breakouts all over my face. Despite using it regularly and following the directions carefully, my skin condition kept getting worse and became visibly irritated.
I haven’t yet contacted the brand or the pharmacy; I just wanted to express my concern here. I would like La Roche-Posay to provide a solution for this issue — whether that’s a replacement product suited to my skin type or clear guidance on how to resolve the irritation caused by this cleanser.
