I purchased my Kia EV3 GT-Line from Tekkâr Kartal dealership on February 13, 2025. The very next day, I noticed an overwhelming amount of road noise entering the cabin, as if a window were left slightly open. When the sales advisor, Ms. B****, called me for follow-up, I immediately shared this concern. She sounded surprised and said she would report it to the service department. However, I never heard back from her.
After struggling to get a service appointment, I finally got one for March 22. During the test drive, the technician clearly heard all the road noise but dismissed it, claiming the EV3 has weak insulation and this was “normal.” When I asked how it could be normal to hear every car on the road with closed windows—something I never experienced in my older vehicles—I was told not to compare “premium vehicles” with the EV3.
Later, I did my own research and discovered a serious inconsistency: some EV3 GT-Line models come with acoustic side glass, marked with AS1, while others—including mine—have non-acoustic AS2 glass. I confirmed this by checking my neighbor’s EV3 GT-Line, which has AS1 glass with the proper acoustic marking. Mine does not. Only the front windshield in all cars seems to use AS1 glass.
I contacted Kia’s central office with photo and video proof, only to be told that there’s “no difference” between the glass types, and my claim was invalid. The customer representative refused to even look into it further, insisting all vehicles are built the same, despite physical evidence to the contrary.
