My 35-day-old Jeep Compass, with only 1,100 miles on it, locked up on the road while in 'P' (Park) position. Jeep towed the vehicle to their service center and claimed the battery was drained. They charged it for 8 hours and returned the car to me. Given that the vehicle is actively used and has only 1,100 miles on it, I believe the battery shouldn't be faulty and requested a replacement, but they refused. I'm very disappointed with how Jeep has handled this issue and the solution they've offered for a car that's only a month old.
