Premium Jack Wolfskin Jacket Tears After Four Months; Store Blames User Error

I purchased a Jack Wolfskin jacket on December 1, 2025, from the Kotteks store in Van for approximately $300. As a healthcare worker, I used the jacket exclusively for commuting to and from work during the winter season, totaling about four months of light use. Despite this brief period, severe wear and tearing developed—particularly around the sleeves—which I believe stems from defective material.

I sent the product in for warranty inspection, but I received zero follow-up or communication; no one called me, nor did I receive any written update. When I called to follow up on my own, I learned that my claim was rejected under the claim of "user error." I refuse to accept a "user error" designation as if I perform heavy labor in it, when I only wore the jacket during my daily commute. Having a jacket sold at such a premium price deteriorate like this within 3–4 months raises serious concerns about product quality and leaves me deeply dissatisfied.

I demand that the wear and tearing on the jacket be re-evaluated as a manufacturing or material flaw, through an independent inspection if necessary, and that a resolution be provided in the form of a free repair, replacement, or full refund. Furthermore, I request proper customer communication, as keeping customers uninformed and forcing them to chase updates is completely unacceptable.
