I purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max in November 2024 from Germany, and after 9 months of use, I deeply regret it. I only have four additional apps installed besides the system ones—many of which I’ve disabled. I barely use the phone. My gallery has only about 60 photos, and I regularly delete unnecessary ones. Despite this minimal usage, the battery life is abysmal.
I don’t even use social media heavily—just one app—and I watch videos like Reels on a second phone. I try to video call over WhatsApp, and the battery drops within an hour. I previously used an older Samsung phone, and even that lasted at least two hours under similar conditions. This iPhone doesn’t hold up at all.
I contacted customer service a month ago. They sent an email with some instructions, but I had already tried everything suggested. I close background apps, monitor usage closely, and yet the phone drains battery rapidly—even while idle. On top of that, it heats up for no reason.
Honestly, I regret switching from Android to Apple. If I could go back, I’d buy a Samsung without hesitation. Apple really needs to address the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s battery and overheating problems.
