I used the inDrive taxi app to request a ride on a route I frequently take. The normal fare is ₺280, but I was in a hurry and accepted the driver’s ₺390 offer via POS payment. However, the driver took a longer route and, near the destination, told me, "It gets too complicated from here, so walk the last 5 minutes."

When he handed me the POS machine, I tapped my card, only to realize he charged me ₺501 instead of ₺390! I immediately objected, but he claimed he added bridge tolls and commission fees. I reminded him that I had already agreed to a higher fare and never consented to extra fees, but he dismissed my complaints.

Then, after I exited the taxi, I checked the app and saw he entered a ₺530 fare into the system! By that time, the traffic light turned green, and he drove off, leaving me no chance to confront him further.

This is clear exploitation, and there is no option to dispute charges within the app. Worse, inDrive has no customer support to address issues like this. Drivers in the app charge nearly double the normal fare, misleading passengers into thinking they are getting a good deal.

I feel cheated and demand a refund for the unauthorized charges. inDrive must improve its customer service and implement a proper dispute system to protect passengers from such scams.
