iData Promised Next-Day Passport Delivery, Now Delayed Until After Flight
In February 2025, we scheduled a visa appointment for my grandmother and grandfather through the iData branch in İzmir. We needed the visa for my cousin’s wedding on October 11, and our flight tickets were booked for October 10, 2025. We were aware that appointment dates were scheduled months in advance, so we patiently waited until September 2025, when we finally attended the appointment on September 8, 2025.
During the appointment, my mother was not allowed inside, while my grandparents attended. Although we clearly stated that we wanted to pick up the passports directly from the branch, the iData staff insisted that the passports would be delivered within one day by UPS and convinced us to choose delivery by courier instead.
However, the consulate process took an entire month, and the passports were only handed over to UPS yesterday (October 8, 2025). According to the tracking information, the estimated delivery date is October 13. When we contacted UPS, they confirmed they could not guarantee earlier delivery. Therefore, iData employees gave us misleading information, assuring us of a delivery timeline that even the courier company could not confirm.
Now, our flight tickets and travel plans are at serious risk, and we are unable to reach anyone for assistance.
