Italy Visa Delay via iData – Urgent Passport Needed for Upcoming Flight
I applied for an Italian visa through iData on September 5, 2024, for a scheduled flight on November 9. Despite the approaching date, my passport is still listed as being with the consulate, and I haven’t received any response to my emails. iData has been equally unhelpful, only sending standard replies without offering any concrete information when contacted.
A friend of mine, who had a flight on October 28, finally received their passport on October 24, which suggests that passports are being returned extremely last-minute. Based on these experiences, it seems that passports often only become available at iData’s Gayrettepe branch as late as the evening before departure, often around 5 PM.
I plan to be at the Gayrettepe branch on Thursday and Friday at this time, hoping to avoid missing my flight. I’m sharing this information for others in a similar situation, as this platform seems to serve more as an information resource for those waiting rather than a place for effective solutions. I sincerely hope that everyone awaiting their visa can receive it in time to avoid major disruptions.
