I Got Charged ₺190 from Hellcase After Clicking an Etsy Verification Link
I was redirected from Etsy to a supposed verification link, and upon following the instructions, ₺190 (charged as $190) was suddenly withdrawn from my card by a site called Hellcase—something I had never even heard of until this happened. I only realized what it was after looking into the transaction, and to my shock, I found many others have experienced similar unauthorized charges from this site.
It’s outrageous that a platform like Etsy, which promotes itself as secure, can be exploited this easily to redirect users to such suspicious third-party sites. I feel deceived and seriously concerned about my personal and financial data.
I immediately contacted my bank to report the charge and hope they can stop any further unauthorized withdrawals. I also expect Hellcase to return the money they took without my consent. I never visited their site, never signed up, and never gave permission for this charge. I want a full refund, and I strongly urge Etsy to strengthen their fraud prevention mechanisms so no other user ends up in the same situation.
