I would like to report a dubbing issue I experienced while watching Game of Thrones on HBO Max with Turkish dubbing. Ever since the series moved to HBO Max, I have been מאוד dissatisfied with the new Turkish dubbing, and it has significantly affected my viewing experience.
The voice tones of the characters do not match the atmosphere of the series or the personalities of the characters at all. In addition, the translation choices—such as changing place names and certain proper nouns, and not using accurate equivalents—make the show feel unnatural and disconnected. The lack of precision and care in the dubbing makes the series almost unrecognizable. Because of this, I was only able to force myself to watch up to six episodes before deciding to stop.
When I contacted HBO Max customer service, I was told that the dubbing would remain as it is for now. However, I do not want to continue watching a series I have followed for years with such poor-quality dubbing. I request that the original dubbing be restored to the platform or that a new Turkish dubbing be produced with the same level of quality and attention as the previous version.
