I Face GetYourGuide Refusing to Change a Tour Booked for the Wrong Location

While in Phuket, we searched for tours on GetYourGuide and booked what appeared to be an affordable tour for two people. However, we later realized that the tour we booked was not in Phuket, but in a different region called Chiang Mai. Because we are foreigners, we did not fully understand this at the time. Since we searched specifically for Phuket, we assumed the tour name referred to a venue or attraction in Phuket.

Once we noticed the mistake, we wanted to change the reservation, but we were not helped at all. Despite being a large and well-known platform, this situation was very disappointing for us as customers. In hindsight, I wish I had booked through local tour companies, which might have been more affordable and clearer. It was genuinely surprising to experience such an issue with a platform we believed to be reliable. We did not even request a cancellation—we only asked to switch to a tour located in Phuket, but that request was refused.
