My Gate.io Account Wiped Out After Fartcoin Price Dropped 1,000x in Seconds
Yesterday, I opened a 5X long position on Fartcoin through the Gate.io exchange. During the trade, the coin’s price suddenly and abnormally dropped by 1,000 times, which instantly wiped out my entire account overnight. I strongly believe these kinds of extreme and manipulated price drops occur intentionally and repeatedly on this exchange, as I’ve been suffering ongoing losses because of them.
In total, I’ve lost nearly $15,000, and my most recent loss was around $365. My account UID is 9989105.
When I contacted Gate.io customer support, they gave me only a vague response — saying that “price drops can happen” — which is completely insufficient and dismissive. There were no technical issues, connection errors, or trading malfunctions on my side — just unrealistic and repeated price crashes within the system.
I’m requesting a detailed investigation into these abnormal price movements and that my financial losses be compensated accordingly.
