2023 Ford Puma ST-Line Sunroof Malfunction Not Repaired Under Warranty
I purchased my 2023 Ford Puma ST-Line from İzmir Ford Çetaş dealership, and about six months after taking delivery of the vehicle, I began experiencing problems with the sunroof. The sunroof has had issues since the day I received the car, and although these problems are documented in the service records, the defect has still not been resolved. At first, I had no choice but to get used to the loud and disturbing noise coming from the sunroof; however, it is now completely malfunctioning. It will not open properly, and when it does open, it will not close. Even with manual intervention, it cannot be fully closed. With the recent start of rainy weather, there is a serious risk of water leaking into the vehicle, which is causing me significant hardship.
In addition, the early wear and deformation of the driver’s seat in such a short period of time is not consistent with Ford’s expected quality standards. Noticing chunks missing from the tread of all four tires at only around 30,000 km (approximately 18,600 miles) is also concerning from a driving safety standpoint and raises questions about the quality of the materials used.
Approximately 15 days ago, I contacted the service department regarding these issues. In my discussions with Ford Çetaş İzmir, I was told that my vehicle would be taken in for service and that I would be provided with a loaner vehicle. However, for months I have been told “next week,” and I have received no concrete follow-up. I also reported the situation via email to [email protected]. Although they responded, they have not finalized the process or resolved the issue.
My vehicle is still under warranty, and I clearly consider these issues to fall under a defective product claim. I am requesting that a loaner vehicle be provided to me and that all of these problems—especially the sunroof malfunction—be fully and properly repaired at no cost. All necessary repairs and maintenance should be completed promptly. As a long-time Ford customer, this experience has seriously shaken my trust in the brand, and I want my grievance resolved as soon as possible.
