I Canceled Files Editor but Still Received an Unauthorized $39 Charge

Last month, I signed up for a few days of free access on the Files Editor website. I had no intention of starting a subscription or committing to any long-term plan. However, when I attempted to cancel my access, the system forced me to approve a two-year package costing approximately $1. I was not allowed to complete the cancellation process unless I accepted that paid offer.
After I was forced to purchase this small package, I received communications stating that I would be able to use the service until 2028 and that I would not be charged again. Despite these assurances, on February 27, 2026, an additional $39 was charged to my card without my knowledge or consent. Even though I had canceled my subscription and had been informed that no further billing would occur, I do not accept this unexpected and unauthorized charge.
In addition, when I attempted to remove my payment information, I could not find any section on the website that allowed me to access, edit, or permanently delete my stored card details. The fact that my card information appears to have been retained, while I have no ability to manage or remove it, and that charges can be processed without my permission, has caused significant concern and financial inconvenience. I have bank statement records, transaction references, and supporting documentation for this charge and can provide them if requested.
I am requesting a full refund of both the approximately $1 package fee that I was effectively required to purchase and the unauthorized $39 charge that was later withdrawn from my card. I also demand the permanent deletion of my credit card information from your systems. Furthermore, I request the closure of my account and the cancellation of any active or future subscriptions without any additional charges. Finally, I ask for written confirmation regarding the refund, account closure, subscription cancellation, and deletion of my payment information.
