I took my Fiat Egea 1.6 multijet brand vehicle, which was still under warranty, to Fiat Kartas authorized service when I heard a clicking sound coming from the steering wheel. During the examination, I was told that the steering shaft needed to be replaced and that it would cost 20,000 TL, but that this would not be covered under warranty. When I inquired about the reason, I was told that one piece of vehicle maintenance was missing. According to my own research, this is a common problem in Egea models, even in vehicles with 5000 km. Because this malfunction is not related to maintenance and is a chronic one, I want it covered by warranty. If it is not done, I will never trust the Fiat group again. I would consider selling the vehicle and never driving another Fiat again. If the Fiat brand does not want to lose customers and reputation, it must make amends.
