Facebook Marketplace Closed After Diving Equipment Listing Misclassified

A few months ago I created a single listing on my Facebook profile’s Marketplace section to sell a diving suit, fins, a speargun and diving gloves, all shown together in one ad. This listing was evaluated as an “explosive material and weapon listing” under community rules, rejected for that reason, and about a week ago, on 21 May 2026, my entire Marketplace access was closed. While dozens of similar listings with the same type of products and very similar images are still active, closing only my account in this way is, in my view, both unfair and inconsistent. To object to this decision, I used the “appeal decision” button shown in the system and submitted appeals 3–4 times. Despite this, I did not receive a single line of feedback, no explanation or information about any additional review was shared with me, and the problem still continues. I request that the Marketplace access of my Facebook account named “Seyfettin Y***” be reopened and that my listing be reviewed again as a diving equipment listing, not as an ad for prohibited products. I believe my account was closed as a result of an incorrect assessment, and I want my objections to be taken into consideration and my grievance to be remedied.
