EWA English Refused My $39 Refund One Day After Purchase
On September 15, 2026, I purchased a three-month subscription through EWA English and paid $39. Just one day after making the purchase, I requested to cancel my subscription and receive a refund by exercising my statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
When I contacted the support team by email, they rejected my refund request, claiming that I had subscribed previously and that the renewal was therefore not eligible for a refund. However, this was my first time subscribing, and I clearly stated that I wanted to exercise my right of withdrawal. Despite this, I was told, “We provide refunds to first-time subscribers, but we cannot provide one to you.”
Before purchasing the subscription, EWA English stated that customers were eligible for a no-questions-asked refund. However, when I requested a refund, I found that they were not honoring this promise. I request that my right of withdrawal and the no-questions-asked refund policy stated before my purchase be honored and that the $39 I paid be fully refunded.
