In the game Fortnite, scenes that involve people being shot with rifles and disturbing elements such as an accessory shaped like a shark impaled on a stick are extremely unsettling to me. Even though the game is labeled as suitable for ages 12 and up, I believe the level of violence in the content and the presence of such accessories are not appropriate for this age group.
The fact that the game is easily accessible through Google, PlayStation 5, and Xbox platforms also makes it easier for even younger children to encounter these kinds of scenes. Because of the way violence is portrayed and the negative elements present in the game, I am very concerned that it could have harmful psychological effects on children.
For these reasons, I request that Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, stop selling the game in its current form, remove it entirely, or at least implement much stricter regulations regarding its content and age rating.
